I love my back yard. It’s lush and green with bits of colour sprinkled all around it. Spring is a great time to just inhale the fresh, fragrant air and let it wash those winter cobwebs away.
It’s been a very quiet Wedding season so far so it’s a great thing that I love being home. And even though we are not able to shoot people, I can stay in practice shooting the happy faces of the flowers that all those April showers have produced.
We have a lovely mixture of container and in-ground plantings with lots of mature growth plants.

I don’t have a place for a veggie garden. The best I can do is a planter filled with Strawberry plants and a container Herb Garden — or as I like to refer to it, my Simon and Garfunkel spot. (for you youngsters … look up a song called
“Scarborough Fair”)
I only plant herbs I like to use in my cooking or drinks. I love to rub the leaves in my hands and inhale the amazing aromas. Have you ever smelled Chocolate Mint? Heaven!

Of course, when you have lots of greenery you also get lots of visitors. These are a few of our neighbours!

Now that the weather is warm and sunny I plan on spending lots of time in my happy place. Starting the day with my coffee out on the patio and ending it in the same place with a glass of wine and the Bearded Guy.
